What choice do I have? I'm Barbara Rosenzweig and I love gardening, have been doing it for over 40 years (am I giving away my age?), and love each flower's intense colors and textures! I have absolutely no choice but to try to capture their beauty in my watercolors. Travel, too, gives me wonderfully inspiring landscapes to paint, here in Pennsylvania, USA, where I live, throughout our country, and the world.
I'm a mom to two grown daughters and a wife to a man who puts up with all of the time I devote to painting. Throughout my adult life, whether the dishes were piled high in the sink or papers needed to be graded (did I mention that I was a biology teacher for 36 years), I took time out to indulge my creative streak.
In the winter, with snow storms making frequent visits, I have perpetual sunshine in my studio (my younger daughter's former bedroom!).The reason - each spring, summer, and fall I take photos of my beauties to paint all winter long. What a wonderful way to spend a lifetime!
