NEW TECHNOLOGY - Video for the Blog

Sorry to be away for so long! I'm continuing to paint, but also trying to learn how to create videos for this blog and my website. I'd love to feature watercolor tutorials and paintings in progress. Isn't it about time that I came into the modern age!

Here's my first attempt at an introduction to my paintings. Crude beginning, but I have to start somewhere! Just click on the arrow at the bottom left of the video.

Yes, you are right. I do have to replace this soon, filming when the sun is not in my eyes and my hair is styled better!

Suggestions? Please let me know if it "works" on your computer.

These beautiful seashells make a wonderful collection, each with its unique and beautifully intricate pattern. It makes a unique gift for a vacation shore home or you can create a tropical paradise right in your own home!

Ah summer, please don't go....
Curator Laura Glass from LauraGlassArtQuilts created this wonderful collection and included my Chambered Nautilus watercolor. I hope that you enjoy exploring each of the items in the mosaic!

New Exhibit Media Coverage

I was delighted to see this article about my recent exhibit continuing until June 8 in Maple Glen, PA. Because Journalist Jodi Benjamin beautifully capturerd the content and spirit of the show, I'm sharing it with you.

Local Artist Barbara Rosenzweig Exhibits at Congregation Beth Or

Artist brings the beauty of flowers to the canvas.
This tablescape is another painting from Rosenzweig's collection at Beth Or.

Norma Jarrett, Barbara Rosenzweig, Joann Simon, Sondra Levitt

Rosenzweig is currently the featured artist at the Beth Or gallery in a month-long show that began on Friday, May 13th. In addition to Rosenzweig’s signature floral paintings, the exhibit displays her watercolor renderings of winter landscapes, lake and beach scenes, quaint country cottages and even the bustling South Philly Italian Market. The collection of 42 paintings in the Beth Or exhibit also includes some of Rosenzweig’s vivid tablescapes of realistically luscious-looking fruit.
Please visit the article on Upper Dublin Patch to read the rest of the story.

To view my original artwork, you can visit the FREE exhibit at Beth Or, located at 239 Welsh Road, Maple Glen (215-646-5806).  In addition, I have reproductions for sale on my website at http://www.watercolorsbybarbara.com/ and at http://www.barbararosenzweig.etsy.com/
